Grand Medal of Cangrande

To Davide Beccaria of the Beccaria Winery THE ANGELO BETTI “BENEFACTORS OF ITALIAN WINEMAKING” PRIZE
for the Piedmont Region

On April 9th, on the inaugural day of the 51st edition of Vinitaly, the Beccaria Davide Winery was awarded an important national prize with the Grand Medal of Cangrande at the “Benemerites of Viticulture”.

The awards ceremony was conducted by the famous food and wine journalist Paolo Massobrio who emphasized the family commitment of our winery.

Davide Beccaria of the Beccaria Winery in Ozzano Monferrato was selected as the only entrepreneur in the Piedmont Region, who, through his business and professional activities, has helped and supported qualitative progress in wine-growing and wine production in their own region and country.

His name, along with those of the other professionals and entrepreneurs who received awards, enriches a Vinitaly Roll of Honour made up of personalities who have greatly contributed to the growth of the wine production system and Italian wine, so as to become a model for international benchmarking.

The Angelo Betti “Benefactors of Italian Winemaking” Prize, like the Premio Cangrande, has been awarded since late 1973 to the great interpreters of the Italian oenology world on a regional basis, following rankings by the regional Agriculture Departments.
