Cascina Mossa belongs to the Beccaria family since the 1970’s when Angelo and Maria Teresa, after a period of city life, decided to return to the path traced by their ancestors, to take on the responsibility of being faithful interpreters and custodians of the land.
Handed down from father to son, today the company is run by Davide, the third generation custodian of the Monferrato wine culture, along with his two sisters Silvia and Laura. Each one contributing in their unique way to the create wines where the care and attention is present from the first taste.
The estate is located in Ozzano in the heart of the Monferrato Casalese area, land of rolling hills and orderly vineyards. Cascina Mossa is a dynamic, entrepreneurial undertaking of about 60 hectares, 10 of which are cultivated in various grapes typical of the Monferrato zone. The soil here is calcareous, which is ideal for the cultivation of fine, age-worthy, red wines.
Innovation with a deep respect for tradition is the guiding concept of their philosophy: Through the care of the vineyards using both traditional and environmentally-friendly methods, the winemaking process with modern technology and the aging in the cellar, the wine derives its excellence from the perfect balance between man and nature so as to obtain wines of classic, high quality which remain true to the traditional styles of their land.
The Beccaria family bottles wines produced exclusively from their own grapes, all of which are typical of the Piedmont region: grignolino, barbera, freisa, nebbiolo, arneis and malvasia.
